A kettlebell set gives you a ladder of weights in one order, so you can match the bell to the movement instead of forcing every swing, squat and press through a single size. This collection keeps only true multi-bell listings: Body-Solid premium and vinyl-coated sets, two packages that bundle six bells with a GDKR50 rack, and York Barbell Hercules cast iron sets. It is aimed at home gyms, studios and coaches who would rather buy the whole spread at once than collect bells one at a time.
Settle the weight range you need first, then the finish and the storage.
The GDKR50 included in both rack packages stores six bells on three offset shelves in a 19 by 16 inch footprint.
As a certified personal trainer, I size a set around two lifts. Your swing bell is usually the heaviest one you will use often, because your hips drive it; your overhead press bell is usually much lighter. A good set brackets both, with enough small jumps between them for goblet squats, rows and carries. Learn the hip hinge before you chase a heavier swing, keep the bell close on cleans so it does not flip over and crash onto your forearm, and move up a size only when your last reps look like your first. The small steps in a set matter most on presses, where a full 5 lb jump can feel huge. Keep the bells on a stand or shelf so they are not kicked around the floor.
It depends on the set. Here, the KBVS70 steps from 5 to 20 lb in six sizes, the KBCS105 runs 5 through 30 lb in 5 lb steps, the KBCS275 runs 5 through 50 lb, and York Hercules sets start at 5 lb and top out anywhere from 25 to 80 lb.
If the bells will live in a living room or garage, a stand keeps them off the floor and in order. The KBCS105Pack and KBVS70PACK each include a GDKR50 that stores six bells on three offset shelves.
The KBVS70 bells are cast iron dipped in vinyl and color-coded, which makes grabbing the right size quick. The York Hercules bells are cast iron with a matte black finish.
On the Body-Solid KBC premium and KBVS70 vinyl sets, the listings say handles on the heavier bells are large enough for both hands, which suits two-handed swings and goblet squats.
Need a single bell to fill a gap? Shop all kettlebells, find stands in kettlebell storage racks, or add dumbbells and plates from free-weight packages. For home gym planning across free weights and machines, read the strength equipment buying guide.
