Upright Bikes

Upright exercise bikes — traditional sit-up position bikes for general cardio training, calorie burn, and joint-friendly cardiovascular workouts. Residential through commercial spec.

We carry upright bikes from Body Solid (commercial-grade), Life Fitness (premium commercial), and supporting brands.

Why upright vs other bike types:

• Upright — traditional bike position; engages core, slightly higher caloric burn than recumbent
• Recumbent — reclined with back support; easier on lower back, longer comfortable sessions
• Indoor cycle (spin) — racing position with heavy flywheel; high-intensity training simulation
• Air bike — fan-resistance with arm + leg movement; brutal HIIT

Specs that matter:

• Flywheel weight — heavier provides smoother motion (20+ lb premium, 12-16 lb residential)
• Resistance type — magnetic (smoothest, quietest), friction (cheaper), air (variable)
• Max user weight — verify rating supports user (residential 250-300 lb, commercial 350+)
• Console — heart rate monitoring, programmed workouts, app connectivity on premium
• Seat adjustability — vertical + horizontal positioning for proper fit
