Maxxus Saunas

Maxxus is the Golden Designs line for buyers who want more choice in wood, heater type and EMF level. If you are comparing models for a maxxus sauna, this collection lists every Maxxus cabin we carry, from 2-person units to 4-person corner designs. Many models use carbon far infrared heaters, and several are offered in either Canadian Red Cedar or Canadian Hemlock so you can pick the look and aroma you prefer.

Maxxus Sizes and Layouts

Maxxus saunas come in 2-person, 3-person and 4-person sizes, with corner versions at 3 and 4 people. Corner cabins use an angled front to save floor space, which helps in a bedroom or home gym where a flat wall is already taken. Named editions include Seattle (2 person), Bellevue (3 person), Cholet (2 person), Montilemar (3 person), Avignon (3 person corner) and Chaumont (4 person).

Heater Options

Far infrared carbon: the core of the line, available in Low EMF and Near Zero EMF versions.

Full spectrum: 2-person, 3-person and 3-person corner Maxxus models use full spectrum heating for buyers who want near, mid and far infrared in one cabin.

Dual Tech: the Aspen (2 person), Alpine (3 person corner) and Serenity (2 person) carry the Dual Tech name. The Trinity is a 3-person corner Low EMF design.

EMF Levels in the Maxxus Line

Golden Designs groups its infrared heaters into three EMF tiers: Low EMF at 5–10 mG, Ultra Low EMF at 3–5 mG and Near Zero EMF below 3 mG, measured about two inches from the heating panels. The Cholet, Montilemar, Avignon and Chaumont editions are listed as Near Zero EMF, and a set of 2, 3 and 4 person Maxxus models are listed at under 2 mG. Other Maxxus models are Low EMF. If EMF is your deciding factor, compare these with the wider range in our near zero EMF sauna collection.

Maxxus or Dynamic?

Both lines come from Golden Designs. Dynamic saunas focus on far infrared in Canadian Hemlock with a wide spread of named 1–6 person models, while Maxxus adds Canadian Red Cedar options, more full spectrum choices and corner layouts. Shoppers set on full spectrum heat can also see all Golden Designs full spectrum saunas. Our guides on which sauna to get and what a home sauna costs help you narrow the list. A Maxxus cabin is an easy way to make relaxation and recovery part of your routine. Free freight to the lower 48 on orders over $999, certain exclusions apply.
