Hyperbaric Chambers

These chambers require a doctor's prescription. Every model on this page is sold as a prescription device — you will need a prescription from a licensed physician before we can complete the order. If you are not sure how to obtain one, contact us and we will walk you through it.

Hyperbaric chambers raise the air pressure around you above normal atmospheric pressure, measured in ATA — atmospheres absolute. Home and clinic models generally sit between 1.3 ATA and 2.0 ATA. Choosing between them comes down to three practical decisions.

Soft shell or hard shell

Soft-shell chambers use a flexible, zippered envelope, pack down for storage and operate at the lower end of the pressure range. Hard-shell chambers hold higher pressure and behave like a fixed installation rather than something you put away. If the chamber will live permanently in one room, a hard shell is usually the better long-term buy.

Sitting or lying

Sitting models take up less floor area and are easier to enter for anyone with limited mobility. Lying models are longer but let you stretch out fully for longer sessions. Vertical and wheelchair-accessible designs exist for rooms where floor space is the binding constraint.

Room, power and delivery

Measure the room before ordering — including the doorway and any turns in the hallway between the front door and the final position. Chambers ship by freight. Check the delivery notes on the product page, and inspect the crate for damage before you sign for it.
