Football

Football here is program infrastructure: goalposts, sleds, passing machines, sideline protection and field-marking gear. It is what a school, college or club buys once and keeps for seasons. There are no helmets, pads or game balls on this page, though there is storage and transport for them.

Goalposts are the anchor category and come from four suppliers. Trigon Sports offers official collegiate and high school posts in white and yellow. Gared Sports offers Redzone high school and college posts in 5-9/16 in. and 4-1/2 in. O.D. pairs. Gill Athletics offers steel goals in a plate-mount (FB46) and a ground-sleeve (FB36) install, with sleeves and plate mounts sold separately. First Team offers All Pro, All American and All Star singles plus the Gridiron backyard pair, a 10 ft extension kit, and post pads sized for 4 1/2 in., 5 9/16 in. and 6 5/8 in. diameter posts.

Beyond the posts:

• Sleds and contact work — Trigon 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-man sleds, plus blocking pads.
• Passing machines — the Sports Attack Snap Attack and Aerial machines, and the Trigon Aerial Attack.
• Sideline protection — ProMesh tarps in 12 ft and 15 ft widths, from 50 ft up to 150 ft long.
• Field marking — 3 ft and 6 ft marking kits in 0.062 in. and 0.125 in. stencil, a Pro-Style stencil kit, and the ProLine field layout system.
• Nets and sideline kit — goal post nets from 30 x 30 ft to 40 x 45 ft, passing nets, side line and goal line markers, helmet carts and shoulder pad hangers.

Installation type is the first decision on any goalpost order. Ground sleeve, plate mount and portable each carry different site prep, and it is worth settling with whoever maintains the field before you order rather than after the pallet arrives. Prices start around $60 for a set of shoulder pad hangers and run into five figures for stadium goalposts, which ship freight.
