How to choose:

• Aesthetic priority → solid hardwood frame (ash, walnut, oxbridge) — these double as furniture
• Daily training → look for steel-reinforced rail and a console with stroke rate / 500m split display
• Compact storage → most water rowers store vertically against a wall

Buying notes:

• Water tank capacity — typically 17 liters; needs to be filled before first use
• Add a chlorine purification tablet (usually included) to prevent algae
• Footprint — roughly 7' length × 2.5' width during use
