How to choose:

• Full-body recovery → 5'+ length mat with both 660nm (red) and 850nm (near-infrared) wavelengths
• Targeted joint / area work → smaller pad-style mats with adjustable straps
• Travel use → folding mats with carrying case

Buying notes:

• Verify wavelength — 660nm reaches skin/surface tissue; 850nm penetrates deeper to muscle and joint
• Irradiance (mW/cm²) determines session length — higher irradiance = shorter sessions
• FDA-cleared status varies by manufacturer; check before purchase if needed for clinical use
