Discus equipment for track and field programs — competition discus implements (men's, women's, youth), throwing cages and netting, and supporting accessories for school, college, and elite throwing programs.

We carry Gill Athletics discus equipment — the industry standard for school, college, and Olympic-spec discus competition. Match the implement weight and size to your athlete's age class and competition level.

Discus weight by age class:

• Boys 14U / Junior High — 1.0 kg discus
• Boys HS (varsity) — 1.6 kg discus
• Men college / open — 2.0 kg discus
• Girls 14U / Junior High — 0.75 kg discus
• Girls HS / college / open — 1.0 kg discus

Discus types:

• Training discus — rubber or plastic outer; safer for early skill development
• Competition discus — wood or metal core with metal rim; NFHS, NCAA, IAAF spec
• High-rim discus (advanced) — weight distributed toward outer rim for spin stability; preferred by elite throwers
• Low-rim discus (beginner) — weight closer to center; easier to control

Supporting equipment:

• Throwing cages — netting and cage frames for safe practice
• Throwing circles — concrete or rubber circles for competition
• Distance markers — for measuring throws during practice and competition
