Barbell collars — Olympic and standard collars to lock plates onto barbells safely. Quick-release, spring-clip, screw-tight, and competition-spec collar options.

We carry collars from York Barbell, Bells of Steel, Body Solid, and supporting brands. Proper collars prevent dangerous plate sliding mid-set — never train heavy without them.

Choose by collar type:

• Quick-release Olympic collars (most popular) — lever-lock or twist-on; engage in 1 second; ~$15-30/pair
• Spring clip collars (entry) — squeeze-grip; cheap and fast but less secure on heavy loads; ~$5-10/pair
• Screw-tight collars (cheapest) — twist-on collar that screws down; slow but secure; ~$10-20/pair
• Competition collars (IPF/IWF spec) — exact 2.5 kg per pair, machined for competition fit; ~$60-150/pair
• Lockjaw collars — lever-lock with rubber lining; combines security + ease of use; ~$30-50/pair

What to verify:

• Bore compatibility — Olympic 2" bore standard; verify your bar size
• Weight (if competing) — IPF/IWF competitions require collars with exact total weight (typically 2.5 kg per pair)
• Locking mechanism reliability — premium quick-release collars survive thousands of uses; cheap collars wear out in weeks
